The Alara'quin, also called the Seven Weapons of Rule, are seven legendary magic, intelligent polearms1 wielded by each of the runelords of ancient Thassilon.23

History

The Alara'quin were forged by Xin, first emperor of Thassilon, soon after the nation's founding, and Xin intended them to symbolize each runelord's mastery of a school of magic as well as dominance over their domains.2

Destruction

The Alara'quin can be destroyed by hurling them under the crushing feet of the Oliphaunt of Jandelay, but only if there is no active runelord of the associated school of rune magic.131415 A runelord who abandons their duties also toward their Alara'quin's conditions of destruction, such as Sorshen taking the mantle of rulership for New Thassilon.15
