Voghul Caverns

From PathfinderWiki

The Voghul Caverns are winding warrens beneath the center of the Chitterwood in Isger.1

History

During the Goblinblood Wars, the caverns served as a base for the Jagged Knife and Marrow-Lick clans of bugbears and the Red Tooth hobgoblins. The alliance of goblinoids lived in the caverns and stored their plunder from raids within, including sizable hauls from Gillamoor, Logas, and Umok.

Before the end of the war, however, the three clans had seemingly ceased to exist. Following the war's end, zombies of bugbears and hobgoblins emerged from the forest in such numbers that Isger might have been overrun by undead had lingering Eagle Knights from Andoran not intervened.1

Inhabitants

The caverns are inhabited by a lake-sized, but sentient, putrid ooze known as the Black, from which only undead creatures emerge.1
