Bolgrad is an underground mining city in the northeastern Five Kings Range that specializes in gemstones; the cavern city's gem-rich ceiling earned it the nickname "Star-Studded Bolgrad". Most of its majority dwarven population works either in the mining and processing of gems or as jewelers.1

History

Among Bolgrad's claims to fame is its artisans being commissioned by the Gathering Council to craft a necklace as a coronation gift to Grand Princess Eutropia Stavian of Taldor.1

People

In addition to Bolgrad's dwarven population, a significant minority of elves also live in Bolgrad, with many being devout followers or clergy of Yuelral, elven deity of magic and jewelers. The crystal keeper Wenristan Ridistrial is high priest of the city's temple to the goddess, which accommodates any artisans who wish to study their arts in Bolgrad.1
