Droskar's Crag
Droskar's Crag is an active volcano located in the Five Kings Range.1 The mountain consists of two primary peaks known as the Hammer and the Anvil. The Hammer reaches 28,822 feet in altitude, while the Anvil—which hosts the active crater known as Rovagug's Caldera—is 28,305 feet tall and grows by about one and a half feet per year. These heights make Droskar's Crag the tallest known active volcano on Golarion and the Five Kings Range's tallest mountain.2
Several rivers originate or are fed from glaciers on the Crag, including the Coldforge River (from the Coldforge glacier), the Slagiron River (from the Slagiron glacier), and the Goldmelt River (from the Gold glacier). The crag also hosts the East Gold, Sunset, Silver, Peakcrest, Eastrise, and Deaddrop glaciers.3
The volcano last erupted in 3980 AR in a massive explosion known as the Rending, which destroyed the capital of Tar Khadurrm at Jernashall4 and transformed the region. At the time Droskar's Crag was known as Torag's Crag; its name was changed after the Rending to reflect the more hostile nature of the volcano, since the evil dwarven god Droskar is the patron of endless toil and suffering. To date, it has shown no major activity, though the peaks constantly spew ash and smoke into the air as a constant reminder of the threat that exists beneath the snow-capped mountain.25
Inhabitants
A clutch of seven magma dragons laired deep beneath the Crag prior to its eruption in 3980 AR, and of the clutch only the brothers Moschabbatt and Veshumirix survived.67 Moschabbat later returned to reclaim the heavily damaged lair, and soon after defeated his brother Veshumirix who also returned to confront him.78
The eruption connected the lair to Jernashall, which Moschabbatt plundered for his hoard in his former clutch's lair, now known as the Blood of the Mountain. After killing a survey party dispatched by Ordrik Talhirk and led by Bravitsor Broac, Moschabbatt also added the Axe of the Dwarvish Lords to his hoard.9
Moschabbatt's lair and its surrounding caverns are also home to the munsahir10 Clan Zilleran, whose works Moschabbat trades with denizens of the Darklands who have access to the lair; the kobold Flame Torrent tribe; and the drow11 oracle and Moschabbatt's former lover Scivia Zyrendox, who as of 4713 AR was one of the few beings to know that Moschabbatt possessed the Axe of the Dwarvish Lords.12
Locals have since witnessed Moschabbatt traveling to and from the Crag, and some dwarven sages suspect he possesses the Axe.1314
