Lanishra was the orc deity of rulership, slavery, and tyranny, and delighted when his followers captured other intelligent creatures and used them for entertainment, sacrifice, or food. He was somewhat opposed by the Blood God Nulgreth (who does not believe in leaving anyone alive), and the Despoiler, Verex, who competed with him for slaves.1
In 4724 AR he was defeated and replaced in the orc pantheon by Uirch in the Crucible, in which Uirch and his ally Torag defeated Lanishra and his herald in combat.2
