Profit's Flow

The Profit's Flow is a river that runs through the nation of Druma in central Avistan.

Geography

The river begins in the western branch of the Five Kings Range, just north of the Isgeri city of Dustpawn. The Path of Commencement, a stone bridge of dwarven craftsmanship, crosses the river on the Isgeri side of the border near its headwaters and leads to a mountain pass that crosses into Druma near the town of Petitioner's Port.

From there, the river flows east through the Palakar Forest, joining with the Great Goldpan River at the town of Macridi, then flows north out of the Palakar over the plain of Druma before emptying into the Gulf of Accord (part of Lake Encarthan) at the Drumish capital of Kerse.

Locations

A group of Mephistopheles worshipers known as the Aerie Club maintains a retreat along the river's banks, where the normally secretive cult can worship openly.

Districts of the vacant city of Alabastrine, located on an island in the Profit's Flow downriver of Petitioner's Port, are auctioned every five years to the highest bidders. The city's magically lit Luminous Wharf district is visible day and night from riverboats traversing the Profit's Flow.
