As of 4712 AR, Ulm's Delve was a small gold-mining settlement in Druma.1

Geography

Ulm's Delve was located near the Starkriven Gorge of the Piddoch River, in a hilly area known as the Rumples.2 It consisted of slapdash wooden structures with tents posted on its outskirts. Signs indicating its edges warn against "thieves, filchers, bun-passers, vagrants, or holy fakers" by the order of Boss Ulm. Businesses for gold miners lined its main street, including taverns, hotels, brothels, equipment merchants, a bathhouse, and an assay office.1 A sawmill provided the boomtown with its lumber and was its oldest permanent structure.2

Government

Ulm's Delve lacked a constabulary and was not under the jurisdictions of Kerse or Macridi.3 Its leader Boss Ulm and his hired gang of enforcers applied the town's few rules.4

History

Ulm's Delve was founded by a gang led by the self-styled Boss Ulm, who recognized an impending gold rush and founded the settlement to stake a claim to it. Ulm established its laws largely to populate its indentured mining and milling workforces with the people who violate them. Those who refused to work were fed to a young troll named Skanderbrog.5

People

Despite its small size, Ulm's Delve attracted a diverse variety of inhabitants, including dwarves, Keleshites,6 Ulfen, Taldans, and Chelaxians.7
