Planar substrate

Planar substrate is the underlying metaphysical matter of planar existence—essentially the fabric of reality itself.12 When damaged or corrupted, it weakens the separation between planes and emits blackfire, a destructive and corrupting phenomenon that manifests as ebony-hued fire.1
