Transmigration

From PathfinderWiki

Transmigration, sometimes referred to as planar transmigration,1 is a metaphysical concept in which a soul can inhabit a new incarnation of the physical body it once inhabited in another plane or dimension, even if no matter from that body exists at the destination as is typically required in a resurrection.2 The concept is associated with the philosophy of Sangpotshi and the religion of Pharasma.1

In practice

Wayangs incorporate concepts of transmigration from Sangpotshi and Pharasma as part of their religion.1

Certain occult practices can create a psychonaut manifestation, a form of hallucinatory transmigration in which the participant perceives inward and explores their own consciousness as a dimensional space in order to find insights that enhance their corporeal form.3

Governor Heh Shan-Bao, of the village of Willowshore in Shenmen, devised a theory of transmigration in which souls trapped in a mindscape could reform their long-lost mortal bodies in the Universe and reinhabit them. According to the shinigami Asahina Shinzo, Governor Heh's theory relied on a modified reincarnation ritual, a powerful artifact, and a deep understanding of spirituality.4
