  • 4606 AR Aroden's death throws Cheliax into turmoil;2 the country descends into a civil war that will last for over thirty years.11
  • ???? Nidal's Umbral Court supports House Thrune in the Chelish Civil War.12
  • 4632 AR Molthune achieves independence from Cheliax.2
  • 4633 AR The people of Korvosa reluctantly accept that war-torn Cheliax has lost all interest in their affairs and that they have effectively been forced to become an independent city state; ruling lord Eodred Arabasti becomes the first king of Korvosa.13
  • 4639 AR House Thrune wins the Battle of a Hundred Kings, defeating House Davian and its Sargavan backers; this will ultimately prove to be the decisive battle in the Chelish Civil War. The city of Corentyn has yet to recover from the damage it sustained during the battle.4
  • 4640 AR The Chelish Civil War ends in victory for House Thrune.2 Worship of Asmodeus becomes the official state religion.6
  • Circa 4640 AR In return for the support of the Umbral Court during the Chelish Civil War, House Thrune withdraws Chelish agents from Nidal. Nidal effectively gains independence from Cheliax as a result, but remains a staunch ally of House Thrune.12
  • 4643 AR House Thrune sends an expeditionary force to Sargava in reprisal for the colony's support for House Davian in the Chelish Civil War. The fleet is engaged in Desperation Bay by the Shackles Pirates, and destroyed.6
  • 4660 AR Cheliax sends a second fleet to attack Sargava. The Shackles Pirates are able to drive the fleet into the Eye of Abendego. Those Chelish vessels which survive the experience head for home; no further fleets are sent, and as a result Sargava is now effectively independent of Cheliax.614
  • 4667 AR The people of Galt rise up against rule by Cheliax. The country achieves independence, but remains locked in a continual cycle of violence known as the Red Revolution.614
  • 4669 AR Andoran achieves independence from Cheliax.
