Again, could a bot just populate this for 20 levels please? Thanks --Fleanetha 21:17, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Are we going to do this for every class? If yes, then I'll just do them. I'll set up the bot, you provide me a list of classes (to make sure I haven't missed any) and I'll pull the trigger. —Aeakett 22:51, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
That would be a good idea - if you have a look at Category:Inhabitants by class you'll see the mess made by a piecemeal process. The area needs a thorough spring clean (which I'll attempt as far as I can with normal privileges) and then drop a note about what's needed then - I'll copy this to the discussion page there as here is a bit low in the tree.--Fleanetha 11:35, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
OK I'm ready to go on the following classes (base, prestige, and npc): abjurers, adepts, alchemists, arcane_archers, arcane_tricksters, archmages, aristocrats, ashvawg_tamers, assassins, balanced_scales_of_abadar, barbarians, bards, battle_heralds, blackguards, brightness_seekers, chevaliers, clerics, commoners, daivrats, demonic_initiates, diabolists, dragon_disciples, druids, duelists, eldritch_knights, evokers, experts, fighters, genie_binders, harrowers, hellknights, hierophants, holy_vindicators, horizon_walkers, inquisitors, justiciars, liberators, lion_blades, living_monoliths, loremasters, low_templars, master_chymists, master_spies, monks, mystic_theurges, nature_wardens, necromancers, oracles, pain_tasters, paladins, pathfinder_chroniclers, pathfinder_delvers, pathfinder_savants, rage_prophets, rangers, red_mantis_assassins, rogues, shackles_pirates, shadowdancers, sorcerers, spherewalkers, staltwart_defenders, steel_falcons, students_of_war, summoners, thaumaturgists, transmuters, warriors, witches, wizards
Let me know when you're ready. I pulled theses classes from the classes and prestige classes templates so if I've missed any they'll need to be added there as well. —Aeakett 12:29, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
You got ahead of me there - the website was unobtainable for some while. Never mind, excellent work. Update: So we are both agreed we don't need to distinguish the sources of the classes in the categorization (far too real world for my liking). I am using list of classes as my master for this, btw. So we now have all existing PrC under PrC and NPC and PC Classes under Classes - much neater. I'll have a look now at what we need.--Fleanetha 13:35, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

Category Structure

So I have updated the following as best as I can see, including classes form the two forthcoming Ultimate books:

In essence we need the appropriate numbers of levels for each of those classes (always 20) and PrC (varies). This is the structure, to be clear:

Category Structure for Classes

C stands for any Class; Cs means type the class name in its plural form so 'Adepts', not 'Adept'

Category:Inhabitants by class -> Category:Cs -> Category:Cs by level -> Category:Cs of nth level

Category Structure for Wizards

The only exception to this is wizards who have their 8 schools of magic:

Now the structure becomes:

Category:Inhabitants by class -> Category:Wizards -> Category:Wizards by level -> Category:Wizards of nth level

with a divergent structure as well, where SWs is the plural of one of the subschool wizards, e.g., 'Evokers'

Category:Inhabitants by class -> Category:Wizards -> Category:Specialist wizards by school -> Category:SWs -> Category:SWs by level -> Category:SWs of nth level

Category Structure for Prestige Classes

PrC stands for any Class; PrCs means type the class name in its plural form so 'Assassins', not 'Assassin'

Category:Inhabitants by class -> Category:Inhabitants by prestige class -> Category:PrCs -> Category:PrCs by level -> Category:PrCs of nth level

Syntax of bottom level

To be complete, but you know this, the text for the actual

Category:Cs of nth level

is

[[Category:Barbarians by level| nn]]

to get the formatting correctly done.--Fleanetha 14:36, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

What's missing from your list...

Classes

Conjurers, Diviners (you've done this though), Enchanters, Illusionists

Antipaladins, Cavaliers (you've done this though), Gunslingers, Magus, Ninja, Samurai

[What are the plural forms of Magus, Ninja, Samurai?: Magi, Ninja, Samurai]

PrCs

Bloatmages, Inheritor's Crusaders

That's it that I can see and templates are up to date now.--Fleanetha 14:36, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

Right, I forgot that I was missing a bunch of specialists. Are we sure that your plurals are what Paizo will use (though I agree with all three)? Finally, good catch on PrCs not having 20 levels... that totally escaped me. Do you know of a nice list where I can see the number of levels at a glance? —Aeakett 16:27, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
OK, I've got the prestige classes trimmed down to size, and I've added the missing classes. You say go and I'll unleash the bot. —Aeakett 17:13, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
As for the plurals, in the playtest docs they use magi, samurai and... ninjas. Oh well, two out of three isn't too bad I suppose. —Aeakett 17:18, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
And we got gunslingers too!
Re PrC: no, I don't know a list of how many levels each has without checking each one specifically. But you've done that then: Thanks. Release the bots then and let order reign.--Fleanetha 17:21, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
OK, here we go! *whirr-click, whirr-click-click-click* —Aeakett 17:30, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
Looking good - only errors seen so far are spellings of Hellknights - another 'l' is needed - and Stalwart defenders.--Fleanetha 19:08, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
Right have completed the job and double checked - all present and correct, bar the two typos above. Excellent - thank you Aeakett and Aeakett-bot--Fleanetha 22:38, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
