Zeru Faizel is a merchant who operates out of the old sea fortress of Latchmin's Folly in the pirate city of Port Peril. Originally from the distant land of Katapesh, Zeru has created an alliance of merchants called the Viridian Cartel whose trade power allows her to negotiate directly with the Hurricane King to secure trade concessions and protection for their fleet of trade vessels that skirt the Eye of Abendego. Zeru has used both the Viridian Cartel and trade tactics illegal across the rest of the Inner Sea (but tolerated in the pirate islands of The Shackles) to make herself immensely wealthy.
