Efram Humboldt is the proprietor of the Drunken Tailor, a "shop" in the Downmarket district of the Varisian city of Kaer Maga. A somewhat delicate man with a neatly trimmed beard and an ample gut, he claims to have once been the personal tailor for the harem of the Qadiran satrap, Xerbystes II. When one of the women committed infidelity, the ruler blamed Efram's revealing designs, and he barely escaped with his skin in tact. Humboldt eventually settled in Kaer Maga, although he feels that the work here is much below his abilities. He spends most days drunk, sleeping in his "shop"; actually just a wheelbarrow filled with countless fabrics. When he does put his mind to creating garments, however, Humboldt is one of most original and skilled tailors in the city.1
