"House Stavian" is a term used to refer to the Stavian family, a line of Grand Princes of Taldor1 from Grand Prince Stavian I to the ruling Grand Princess Eutropia Stavian. The family does not go by this name as a noble house of Taldor,2 and its lineage of nobility and claim to the Primogen Crown of Taldor were cast into doubt during the War for the Crown.3

Sites

The Stavian family privately owns the Palace of Birdsong, an estate in northeastern Meratt county, which for the Stavians' centuries of rule was left vacant and overseen by the county and House Lotheed prior to being reclaimed by Eutropia Stavian in 4718 AR.4 Its holdings are referred to as Stavian Barony.5

Illegitimate nobility

During the War for the Crown in 4718 AR, agents of Stavian I's descendant Eutropia linked High Strategos Maxillar Pythareus to a false-flag plot stoking war with Qadira and discredited him.6 In response, agents of Pythareus published records indicating that Stavian I was an illegitimate heir born of the disgraced House Adella. This in turn invalidated the Stavians' bloodline claim to the crown. The records were subsequently confirmed by multiple academics.3
