Zelshabbar is a satrapy of the Empire of Kelesh, situated on the edge of the Empire's imperial lands. Its claim to fame is that it is the location of the Everlight Oasis, a site of pilgrimage and rejuvenation for followers of Sarenrae,123 otherwise known to the locals as Ourzid-Mah.12

In Baba Yaga's Dancing Hut, use of black sand and red silk as ingredients will transport the traveller to the Black Key of this nation.4

History

In 4582 AR, a force of hostile ifrits who had been attacking caravans traveling from Zelshabbar to Sedeq laid siege to the Jezonna Oasis east of Qadira. The siege lasted for 40 days before a Keleshite paladin Amellas al-Hekbah brought it to an end by defeating the genies at the cost of her own life.5

Recent events

A group of fighters called Under the Pale Sun from this nation participated in the Ruby Phoenix Tournament of 4721 AR.6

After the death of Gorum in 4724 AR, escalating conflicts in Karazh drove raiders and refugees alike into Zelshabbar and other bordering lands, such as Ayyarad and Kaskkari.7
