Witlani
Witlani is a unique settlement made up almost entirely of Witanji dromaar within the Matanji orc nation of Nine Walls.1
Geography
Witlani lies within the nation of Nine Walls, which sits in the depths of the Mwangi Jungle within the Mwangi Expanse. Nine Walls is named for the nine enormous defensive walls that encircle the entire kingdom and Witlani sits within the sixth wall. The buildings of Witlani are often made of brick and range from simple homes all the way up to large manor houses. It is very common for Witlani's dromaar residents to dwell in shared housing, and the bigger manors often house dozens of non-related Witanji. Witlani is the home of the Rainkin Academy, a prestigious institution founded by Ruksaw the Decapitator that provides an expansive education to dromaar.1
History
Witlani is a compromise between the Witanji dromaar and the Matanji orcs. Witanji dromaar hold an esteemed place within Matanji society, a mixing of orc and human heritage, they are often high status individuals while also being a source of civic pride to whichever community they belong. Witanji are often the result of important political marriages and normally have a lot invested in their education, these factors combine to place an immense social pressure on a Witanji.2 Most Witanji feel more at ease amongst their own kind, away from the pressures of their intense upbringings, however the Matanji orcs were not comfortable with their dromaar offspring venturing out beyond the safety of Nine Walls just to escape from societal pressures. As a compromise Witlani was formed as a home for the Witanji dromaar around an academic settlement within the Sixth Wall. To this day Witlani is still renowned for as an academic and technological centre, as well as for birthing numerous new art movements.1
Inhabitants
Witlani is unique amongst the settlements of Nine Walls in that it is not home to any Matanji orcs. Instead Witanji dromaar are practically the only residents of Witlani, with a few well-travelled outsiders also calling Witlani home. The residents of Witlani are generally very welcoming of outsiders as many of the dromaar that live here have never left the safety of Nine Walls before but maintain a healthy curiousity about the wider world beyond the layers of protective walls.1
