Mount Nakyuk is the highest point of the Bandu Hills in the western Mwangi Expanse of Garund.12

Geography

Mount Nakyuk is surrounded by foothills and is believed to be the location of the legendary Barkskin Lake.1

Mining

Mount Nakyuk and its surrounding foothills are renowned for their rich veins of minerals and gemstones,12 including gold, emeralds, and sapphires.1

In 4164 AR, dwarves discovered a vein of gold in the mountain and established Farsouth Mine, but had abandoned the site by 41894190 AR and left no trace of themselves or the mine.3

Inhabitants

Most who live in and around the mountain are prospectors, many in camps that predate the Vidric Revolution.4

As of 4721 AR, ghouls and a tribe of Umasi called the Cobbled Kingdom had traded fresh corpses in exchange for mining access to the foothills since at least 4710 AR.13

The ruined ancient dwarven settlement of Ashkurhall is located inside Mount Nakyuk.5
