Ashmedes are a relatively rare species of devil who almost always stay in the deepest levels of Hell, where they work as judges and executioners. When infrequently encountered in the Universe, they instead serve as assassins of heretics, traitors, and failures. An ashmede resembles a contorted humanoid made out of flesh and iron, with a huge pair of bat wings.
