Eshmoks, or wasp demons, are demons born of souls consumed by sheer wrath.1

Appearance

An eshmok resembles a giant wasp with humanoid limbs covered in fibrous fungi, a manifestation of wrath.

Its fungal growths house swarms of wasp-like creatures, themselves parasites that perpetually enrage the eshmok. Calistrians believe these wasps mock her edicts of vengeance and despise eshmoks accordingly.1

Abilities

Eshmoks can transform between a fully fungal form and more wasp-like shape. The spores that burst from an eshmok's fungal growths induce uncontrolled anger in other creatures, who then lash out at anything but the eshmok.

As a wasp, eshmoks can fly and pierce foes with a venomous stinger. They can also exhale swarms of stinging, venomous wasps.

Because eshmoks are defined by their anger, forcibly pacifying them through magic or other similar means also harms their minds.1

Eshmoks can teleport, communicate telepathically, and speak Chthonian, Draconic, and Empyrean.2
