Castle Balatz

Castle Balatz is loathed by merchants and travellers from across Ustalav and even beyond. All newcomers to the city of Caliphas must enter through the Castle's fanglike gates, and its name has now become synonymous with burdensome taxes. Whilst Caliphas's city guard have been amenable to bribes and back-handers, the watchful military that patrol Castle Balatz prevent any such behaviour.

Castle Balatz is also home to General Drannon Ulvodos, a noted cavalier who leads Ustalav's army but has never himself fought in any grand war. Still General Ulvodos possess a powerful bloodlust and always counsels Prince Aduard Ordranti III to follow the most warlike and bloody path in any matter.
