Okeno Tanning Pits

The Okeno Tanning Pits is an industrial centre in Okeno and one that is unrelated to the city's expansive slave trade. The Okeno Tanning Pits consists of a courtyard over a hundred yards from end to end, it houses the shacks and individual tanning pits of dozens of local tanners. All around the Okeno Tanning Pits can be found piles of animal manure that are used in the tanning process, the smell of which, baking in the Katapeshi sun, all too often wafts out across the rest of Okeno when the wind is right.
