Old Fleshfair

From PathfinderWiki

The Old Fleshfair is one of the largest fleshfairs in all of Okeno and is unique in its design. The Old Fleshfair is a maze of narrow alleyways, exposed paths, and precarious perches that sit above numerous sandy slave pits below. These pathways and perches have their own brutal hierarchy with the oldest and most powerful slave traders being granted the safest perches, while lesser slavers are given more dangerous perches closer to the pits. The Old Fleshfair is linked to the New Dock via the nightmarish labyrinth of the Sweatways.1

The Old Fleshfair is ruled over by Fleshlord Sarfaraz al-Qoor, a short man whose booming voice and lecherous ways are almost as renowned as his willingness to take bribes. The auctions at the Old Fleshfair follow no set timetable, though often the holy days of the god of trade Abadar are used as an excuse to hold particularly large and lavish slave auctions. In particular, each Market's Door, a slave auction is held so large that Okeno's population almost doubles for its duration.1

The Old Fleshfair does not exclusively deal in humanoid chattel, often monstrous creatures find their way into smaller private auctions to which only an elite few slave traders are invited. These monsters then often later find their way to guarding both the local elite looking to flaunt their wealth and visiting foreigners looking to make an impression.1
