Temples of Pharaoh Ahn

From PathfinderWiki

The Temples of Pharaoh Ahn is a site in southeastern Osirion located between the Salt Hills and the Brazen Peaks1 from the brief reign of Pharaoh Ahn, who ruled after the Naga Pharaoh. Pharaoh Ahn believed himself to be as powerful as the mortal Nethys, to such a point that he was nearly driven insane. He ordered slaves and followers to this site in the Brazen Peaks in search of what his advisors told him might be the means used by Nethys to ascend to godhood.2

While Pharaoh Ahn searched, his followers constructed inverted pyramids out of precious gemstones to serve as the first palace of what they believed would be their deity Ahn, and magically warded the structures from mortal incursions. Neither Pharaoh Ahn nor his followers returned, however, and later expeditions to the site found only bloody trails toward the pyramids.2

As of 4714 AR, the site's only active researcher is Ali Ahmendi, who remained based in Sothis and claimed to be a descendant of Pharaoh Ahn's chief advisor. He employs adventurers in his attempts to explore the temples.3
