Background
During the period leading up to 4708 AR, the Chelaxian privateer Darsielle Du Moire nearly brought the nations of Cheliax and Andoran to war through a series of unauthorised and brutal attacks on Andoren vessels in his ship, the Hydra's Fang, culminating in an attack that burned the Andoren village of Wittleshine to the ground.
The Chelaxian Navy attempted to stop Du Moire during his raid on Wittleshine and succeeded in inflicting heavy damage on the Hydra's Fang, but Du Moire and his ship escaped and made course for the port town of Diobel to sell his loot and undergo repairs.
Adventure
During his raid on Wittleshine, Du Moire slew a sage named Myraxus Threeshadows and stole a set of ancient high-quality forgeries of tablets used in Azlanti rituals.
The Pathfinder Osprey engages a team of Pathfinders to locate Du Moire in Diobel and recover the tablets on behalf of the Pathfinder Society.
They begin their investigation at Lubor's Imports, owned by an importer named Lubor Staizkal—secretly an enforcer of the Kortos Consortium—to whom Du Moire is believed to owe money. They find Staizkal dead, and a contingent of Du Moire's crew—including the illusionist Katiya—looting the shop. After defeating the looters, the Pathfinders find a concealed trapdoor in Staizkal's shop that leads to the Underdocks.
Within the Underdocks, the Pathfinders use trickery, diplomacy, or force to uncover the mooring location of the Hydra's Fang, and proceed there through the harbour-labyrinth known as the Shallows.
In Diobel's harbour, the Pathfinders are set upon by sedacthys1 allied with Threeshadows who believe the Pathfinders to be his killer.
After dealing with the sedacthys, the Pathfinders board the Hydra's Fang and defeat Du Moire in combat. Their final challenge is to retrieve the forged tablets from the ship's hold, where they are locked in a room filled with lacedons who in life were slaves that Du Moire had callously drowned.
