History

The Way of the Kirin began as a powerful freelancer military and commercial organization called the Kirin Company during the time of Imperial Lung Wa. The Company was once as strong as a state in military, trade, and political sectors, and fought against government corruption and oppressive aristocracy. Receiving their support was comparable to receiving a Heaven-sent edict. Much like Lung Wa, however, it collapsed into obscurity around 4606 AR and was defeated by its foes, who used underhanded tactics.

The Way became disorganized and is now composed of disparate squadrons scattered across Tian Xia, forming loose partisan networks that remain faithful in their mission against commercial and political corruption on the continent. They are gradually regrowing their members, but some candidates are rejected and many more are removed for even slightly deviating from the group's accords. In modern times, the Way remains notably strong in Goka and Kwanlai.

Kirin

Kirin are the spiritual patrons of the Way of the Kirin, because kirin possess a good heart and seek to destroy evilly inclined creatures.

Relationships

Amara Li was instrumental in allying the Pathfinder Society with the Way of the Kirin around 4713 AR.

The Way of the Kirin is an enemy of the powerful and criminal Golden League, and each organization seeks the destruction of the other.
