Gregaro Voth is a Pathfinder who was published in many of the early Pathfinder Chronicles and is most famous for exploring several locations in the jungles of the Mwangi Expanse during the 44th century AR.34 Pathfinders freed him in 4720 AR after he spent centuries held captive in a demiplane, and he founded the Open Road Lodge.56

Background

Voth was a founding Pathfinder from the Open Road Pact alongside Selmius Foster, Kerinha Napsunar, and Durvin Gest, and after Gest's disappearance in 4360 AR was believed to be its last surviving member.78 He served as a field agent in Quantium, Nex, at the Nexus House, was an early member of the Decemvirate, and personally completed the redaction of the fifth volume of the Pathfinder Chronicles in 4360 AR.9

He was believed to have died of old age in 4364 AR8 but had in fact been captured by the Thorned Monarch Qxal into a demiplane behind the Door of Seasons in the Mwangi Expanse, while trying to fulfill the Open Road Pact.105 Although he was trapped in the demiplane, he survived, sustained by a deepening connection to the demiplane that also made him reliant on it.6

In 4719 AR Pathfinders rediscovered the Open Road Pact through unpublished chronicles written by Napsunar and acquired the Perennial Crown, an artifact that unlocked the Door, on Bhopan. A group of Pathfinders entered the door, battled and defeated Qxal, and freed Voth.56

Voth could not leave the demiplane due to his weakness and reliance on the plane for survival, but formed a Pathfinder lodge on the site using his druidic expertise and control over the plane; the site later became known as the Open Road Lodge. The Society connected the demiplane to the Maze of the Open Road, and Voth renewed the Open Road Pact with Oraiah Tolal, Sigvard Tornkvist, and Ashasar.11
