Kestrel River

From PathfinderWiki

The Kestrel River is a tributary of the Path River that begins in the eastern Mindspin Mountains of the Hold of Belkzen, north of the town of Trunau. It flows in an east-northeasterly direction along the former border of the Hordeline before passing over the border into Lastwall. In that nation, the river turns northeast near Castle Everstand before joining the River Esk and forming the Path River near Castle Firrine. Eventually, the waters of the Path empty into Lake Encarthan.12

Hold of Belkzen

In the Conquered Lands region of the Hold of Belkzen, the Kestrel, as well as the River Esk, are deep and fast-running, both flowing throughout the entire year, so the two rivers provide irrigation for the entire region that makes the land much richer than the more northern regions of the Hold sustaining some agriculture. In the Hold, boats are needed to cross the river as there are no fording points; this is one of the reasons the river was used as part of the Hordeline centuries ago. The river is an abundant source of fish, though fisherfolk need to be wary about merrow tribes that also live in the river.3
