Witchgate Forest

From PathfinderWiki

Witchgate Forest is a large woodland that straddles the border between the eastern Hold of Belkzen and western Ustalavic county of Virlych. The forest is located at the foot of the north-western Hungry Mountains, and the ruins of Renchurch are located in the shadows of the forest's south-eastern reaches.1

The forest is named after the magical traps called witchgates that Tar-Baphon created to protect Gallowspire, his headquarters, from teleporting invaders.2 The forest also contains a witchgate in the Witherwill Copse, and the corrupting evil that the witchgate emanates has long plagued the forest's fey.3

Prior to Tar-Baphon's escape from Gallowspire in 4719 AR, the dangerous forest was patrolled by his cultists and soldiers from Lastwall.4
