Battle of Charda (monument)
The Battle of Charda monument commemorates the first and most well-known naval battle that Magnimar fought against pirates from Riddleport.1234 It commemorates the sacrifice of Wardens of the Eye member Antholus Kaddren in order to defeat the pirate captain Jevanna "Winterkiss" Skrinn.5
Structure
The monument depicts the namesake chardas used by Winterkiss in the battle, but at a heavily exaggerated scale of 30 feet. (In truth, the creatures were about 4 feet tall.)34 Persistent rumors suggest the creatures are not sculptures but actually petrified.3
In items
Stone chipped from the monument and fashioned into claws are sometimes sold mounted on a neckchain as charda claws, a type of Magnimarian souvenier.6
