Rickety's Squibs
Rickety's Squibs is a village at the mouth of a nameless river on the Slithering Coast in the Shackles' mainland. It is concealed from passing ships by a protruding headland and jungle, and is difficult to find if one does not know where to look.
Rickety's Squibs refits and modifies the lines and profiles of ships to provide a new identity for a price. These rebuilt vessels are referred to as "squibs." Rickety's Squibs is run by Rickety Hake, a retired pirate; he was the former mate of the Bearded Whore, whose Captain Ella Gurnett was killed at the battle of Nolis Point.1
As of 4720 AR, rumors suggested that the Chelaxian Navy had taken over Rickety's Squibs in order to coerce its crew into refitting a warship in such a manner that it could defeat Hurricane Queen Tessa Fairwind's Luck of the Draw in battle.2
