Blackwood Moot is an isolated stand of Blackwood trees deep in the Verduran Forest of Taldor that serves as a meeting place for wild residents dissatisfied with the Treaty of the Wildwood. Those who meet at Blackwood Moot view the members of the Wildwood Lodge as traitors who have enabled Taldor's destruction of the Verduran Forest.1

The Blackwood Moot is led by the arboreal regent Oakadence, a powerful sorcerer who has been organising secretive raids on Wispil and the Isle of Arenway using the wild beasts of the forest as disposable foot soldiers.1
