Laughing Wave Inn

The Laughing Wave Inn is the oldest surviving in on the mainland of Korvosa, one of the only buildings to survive the Shoanti attack known as the Second Battle of Mainshore during 4439 AR. Named after the nickname of Keyra Palin, one of the heroes of early Korvosa, the Laughing Wave Inn is located in the North Point district. The inn shows its age with sagging balconies and a hundred other signs of the centuries of wear and tear it has endured. Still the inn is popular, especially with visitors to Korvosa, due to the Barbarian Princess, a Shoanti ghost who haunts the Laughing Wave and is said to appear regularly on both solstices, as well as the night of the Riverwind Festival.
