Zomok
(extraplanar)
Zomoks are massive draconic creatures made of plant and soil that defend their woodland homes against all forms of mass destruction.123
Appearance
Zomoks are spirit-like creatures that have bodies made of animated vegetation and soil. They shed and add new material over time that matches their current environment.12
Zomoks are typically about 18 feet tall,12 35 to 40 feet in length, and weigh 30 tons.123
Their color also changes with the seasons, mimicking deciduous plants: green in spring and summer, then autumnal shades, then finally a decaying brown in winter.3
Abilities
Zomoks are immune to poison but have vulnerability to fire. They have darkvision and tremorsense.123
Zomoks can speak several languages: Arboreal, Fey, Petran, and Common tongues, as well as speaking to any plant.3
Zomoks have no need to eat but will often swallow prey to be mangled123 by its stomach contraction to then be regurgitated as plant fertilizer.12
A zomok's breath is a primal blast of earth,3 bark, and moss12 that buries their victims123 and causing the bodies of those that die from the breath to instantly decompose and be destroyed, requiring a stronger than normal magic to revivify them.3
Three times a day, zomoks can magically teleport a mile between forest areas and are rejuvenated from this action. Teleporting this way leaves behind any victim that the zomok had swallowed as a mangled corpse.123
A zomok is able to perform a primal call ritual without needing secondary casters. They usually call for aid from awakened trees, arboreals, and shamblers for tasks such as guarding sacred locations or missions for the good of the forest.3
Ecology and habitat
Zomoks are native to the First World as guardians of mystic forests but some settle into woodlands in the Universe.12 They protect and heal their homes from all forms of destruction,123 such as forest fires, logging, or undead armies.12
