Songbird Hall

Songbird Hall is the temple to Shelyn in the city of Kintargo, Ravounel, and is both the city's third-largest temple and its most trafficked. Its high priest as of 4724 AR was Zachrin Vhast.

History

Under Chelaxian rule

Under the rule of Cheliax, worship of Shelyn was the only good-aligned faith permitted in the city. During its time, Shelyn's faithful did their utmost to minimize the harmful effects of diabolical rule while still complying with the government's demands. House Thrune required all worshipers to register themselves and submit to having all ceremonies presided over by an appropriate official.

The church raised most of its funds by educating wealthy nobles in the arts before investing those funds back into the community, such as by feeding the hungry and generally improving the quality of life of Kintargo's inhabitants.

Vhast also served as high priest during this period, from at least 4715 AR.

Under the rule of Ravounel

After the Kintargan Rebellion of 4715–4716 AR won the independence of Kintargo and Ravounel from Cheliax, Vhast and Songbird Hall took on management of the region's popular Kintargo Opera House. Worship of Shelyn was no longer restricted in any way, and by 4724 AR Songbird Hall had become Kintargo's busiest house of worship.
