House Tanessen are one of the nine noble houses of the city of Kintargo that composed the once-prominent Court of Coin. House Tanessen are Thrune loyalists, and their business interests are in armour and weapon crafting as well as general city defence.1 The scions of this house are renowned for their leadership in battle.2
The House's fortunes have fallen since the Kintargan Rebellion and the secession of Ravounel from Cheliax, in which Kintargan loyalists defeated Barzillai Thrune. The Tanessens' support of House Thrune during the rebellion both drained their finances and damaged their reputation.3
