Atrogine, Thought Made Flesh, is a curious and mischievous young deity who formed from the dreams and wishes of a witch coven. They are concerned primarily with the pursuit of magical knowledge and the personal journeys of their followers, and are not especially benevolent or malevolent.1

History

After being born from the thoughts of a reclusive coven, Atrogine reputedly awoke in a recently wildfire-ravaged forest. The sorrowful god's tears are said to have revitalized the plants and animals and formed a new, lush ecosystem.1

Relatives

Whispers on the wind speak of two of Atrogine's siblings with unknown origin: the arbiter of dreams and the arbiter of nightmares. The three siblings are rumored to have their own coven, and they all are known to be mischievous.1

Relationships

Atrogine's mischievous nature and intense curiosity led them to impersonating certain other gods. In the pursuit of knowledge, they are known to have deceived followers of Pharasma and Nethys by impersonating their deity, and may have impersonated many others without being discovered.1

Worshippers

Atrogine responds well to worship from similarly curious people interested in the magical and esoteric, and is particularly responsive to those who feel ostracized by their community. Alchemists, spellcasters, tinkerers, and magical innovators all count themselves among their following. In particular, Thought Made Flesh feels a special kinship with witches due to their origin, and frequently serves as a patron.1

Familiar

Desiring divine companionship, Atrogine dreamed another being into existence—a large moth made of swirling star stuff named Hyomea who became their familiar. Hyomea often answers the prayers and thoughts of other familiars across Golarion, and has started visiting them in person to listen and provide guidance when requested.1
