Quasi deity

Treerazer, a nascent demon lord and quasi deity.

A quasi deity1 is the weakest kind of divine entity. Many are ascended mortals and planar natives who have crossed the threshold to godhood.234 For example, malebranche and nascent demon lords are considered quasi deities.5

Godlings

A godling is a mortal granted divine powers through a deity's direct intervention, whether by being the deity's direct descendant, powerfully blessed by the deity as a child, or granted mythic power by the deity itself.67

Divine entities who take physical form and visit the Universe sometimes couple with mortals or otherwise immaculately create life within a mortal. The result goes beyond the forms of similar bloodlines and planar scion offspring, such as cambions8 and empyreans,9 to create a child with unique traits and mythic potential.6

One example of a godling is Nivi Rhombodazzle, who became one by trading a gem with Torag.10

The term "quasi deity", which is mechanically defined across editions as the weakest rank of divinity in GM Core 140 and Planar Adventures 70, might be better applied in these uses.
