Kaldemash is the Arcadian deity of firearms and firearms safety; dueling and honorable combat; birds of prey; and the Star Code.1

History

Kaldemash was originally a mortal in the Crownpeaks who wrote the Star Code after recognizing the danger presented by the recently invented star guns.1 The Code defines cultural mores of behavior for star gun wielders and persists as part of laws in nations across Arcadia.23

Legends suggest that Kaldemash, then a mortal Crowned Regent, forged one of the first star guns and used it to great success. However, he also accidentally killed one of his best friends with the gun, an event that inspired his creation of the Star Code. Kaldemash never named this star gun, but legends refer to it as Kaldemash's Lament.4

Appearance

Kaldemash resembles a tall humanoid wearing a leather duster in the fashion of western Arcadia, and a crown of stone that partially covers his upper face.1

Worshipers

Kaldemites are primarily itinerant travelers who are known to judge duels, heal duel participants, and sometimes defend settlements in need of protection.1
